To Do List... Displays the To Do List tab of the Object Editor. This tab lets you set up the actions that occur when a particular event occurs for the selected object. The order in which you add items and actions to the To Do List is the order in which the actions occur at runtime.

Event list - Select the event that you want to trigger an action for one or more objects or for the entire application. Example: If you want an action to occur when a user clicks on a Graphic object, select the Graphic object and set the Event list to Click.

Action buttons - These buttons let you identify the object you want to affect when the specified event occurs.

New To Do Item - Click this button to add an object to affect to the Object list. A drop-down list of all the objects on the page appears.

New Application Item - Click this button to add "Application" to the Object list. Use this item if you want to affect the entire application when the event occurs. For example, use the Application item if you want the user to go to another page when the event occurs.

Find Object - If you don't know the precise name of the object you want to add to the Object list, press on the button, and , with the mouse depressed, drag this button over the object. The name of the object is added to the Object list when you release the mouse. Hint: You can also drag the button over the Object list in the top left corner of the Page Layout window. Optionally, you can sort this Object list (e.g. by object type) before you use it to search for an object.

Edit buttons - These buttons let you cut, copy or paste full To Do List items.

Re-Order List buttons - These buttons let you reorder the items in the To Do list. Example: Click on an item and click on the Move up button to move the item up one position. Remember, the order of the list is the order in which the actions occur at runtime.

Properties... Displays the Properties tab of the Object Editor. This tab lets you set up the properties that determine the appearance of the object at runtime. Example: Click on a Graphic object and use the Properties tab to set its Filename property to a specific graphic file.

Click on a property to select it. Then click in its Value field and reset the value. Some properties require you to type a value while others provide different kinds of Quick Helper tools to help you select a value. Example: When you click in the Value field for the Filename property, an Open dialog box appears that lets you select a filename.

Hint: By default, wherever it is appropriate, Quick Helper tools appear automatically if you click in a Value field. If you want to type a value instead of using a Quick Helper, you can turn off the Quick Helpers option in the Options dialog box (available from the Tools menu).
